Project Manager

Lori obtained her MSc from the University of Guelph and has worked within the fields of environmental biology, aquatic toxicology, plant physiology, and molecular biotechnology and is now the Phaseolus Genomics Project Manager. Lori's responsibilities include coordinating information exchange amongst the researchers so that milestones in the areas of budget, research progress and outreach can be be tracked --  which also allows her to produce progress reports and coordinate financial reports with the finance department. Lori is also responsible for co-ordinating meetings, conferences and media events ensuring that all appropriate members of the media, the public, and the research teams are invited. As part of her support for outreach activities Lori hires high school, co-op and other undergraduate students to work on the various research projects, attends highschool "youth outreach" events intended to promote science in general , and she also attends trade shows to promote the research emerging from the various projects. Finally, Lori is responsible for working with the website company and maintaining the content on the project website.
